Stud cats

While I don't have my own stud I have the use of 3 very good boys Thanks to Cathy Webb at  Skiboots Snowshoes
Below is the information that Cathy provides on her web site about her handsome cats

Southpole JFK (USA)

Bitzaglitz Storm Prince (UK)

Jack is a Seal Point Preferred Pattern Snowshoe male born in 2007. Jack was bred in USA by Lyn Pilney of Southpole Snowshoes  in Gainesville, Georgia, USA who has been breeding Snowshoes for over 20 years. His sire is Southpole Georgia Moonshine and his mother is Southpole Belle Chat.

Jack was originally exported to Holland where he had a successful show career & brief stud career before his sale to Destrier Snowshoes in the UK. He has been used to improve the UK Snowshoe bloodlines and his progeny include the 2011 TICA Western European Snowshoe of the Year Alfacentory Crystalline.

We were lucky enough to be able to buy Jack and import him to Australia in August 2012 to help establish the Australian Snowshoe line. His American pedigree is a great bonus to us when most of the cats available to import are from the UK.

Jack is quite a big boy - he has a soft, gentle nature and a beautiful melodic voice. He's quite a talker and always enjoys a big cuddle. You can see in the slideshow below that his body colour has darkened significantly with age. He is the most strikingly handsome cat you could ever hope to meet!

Prince is a Blue Point Preferred Pattern Snowshoe male born in 2007. Prince was bred in the UK by Chris Thompson of Bitzaglitz Cattery. Chris is now the second longest active Snowshoe breeder in the UK. Prince is sired by the American bred Snowcats My Blue Heaven and his mother is Adfursh Brunnera.

Prince has had a successful show career in the UK. His pedigree represents the two most popular lines among the UK Snowshoes and remarkably contains zero inbreeding. He has also been used to improve the UK Snowshoe bloodlines and his progeny include Destrier Snowstorm, who won Best of Breed at the 2012 Supreme Cat Show.

We were lucky enough to be able to buy Prince and import him to Australia in August 2012 to help establish the Australian Snowshoe line. His half American pedigree is a great bonus to us when most of the cats available to import are from the UK.

Prince is a medium size boy with a lovely nature. He’s like a little koala when he gives you hugs with heaps of purrs and much smooching.

Special thanks to Kelly Cruse of Destrier Snowshoes for allowing us to have Prince.

Purr Prints Ontario (Can)

Aussie is the newest addition to our family, along with his cousin Diva. These two young Snowshoes are still in Canada completing the necessary waiting time before arriving in Australia to quarantine here during February. They will finally be with us in March 2013.

Bred by Ruth Little of Purr Prints cattery in Ontario, Canada, Aussie (born April 2012) is sired by Nishna Silook and his mother is Nishna Lexus of Purr Prints. We can’t thank Ruth enough for making it possible for us to acquire these two young cats. It’s been a 12 month plan since before Aussie’s birth and Ruth has been very patient in holding these cats through the necessary waiting period of almost 9 months before they could travel.

The Canadian bloodlines will again be a tremendous asset to the Australian Snowshoe breeding program.

We’ll look forward to meeting Aussie in February and then we can update you more about his purrsonality, he’s apparently quite the character and loves to hitch a ride on the motorised scooter to tour the house!
